Meet Dr. Meg Schwartz, PT, DPT

Hi, I’m Meg Schwartz and I am excited to be a part of the Empower Your Pelvis team! I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and have been practicing for the last 4 years as a travel therapist working in a variety of settings including outpatient, skilled nursing and home health. I played volleyball at Emporia State University while receiving my undergraduate degrees in Biology and Health Promotion. I graduated from The University of Kansas Medical Center with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2018. ROCK CHALK! I am a dog mom to the most perfect chocolate lab named Azul. In the evenings, you can find me outside walking or with a cup of tea in hand and reading a good book. I love traveling and seeing the world. I am driven by my love of learning and constantly wanting to deepen my knowledge to better understand myself and my patients.

I found my passion for helping women through my own struggles and frustrations with the medical system making me feel neglected and ignoring my concerns. I didn’t feel heard and wanted to know WHY things were happening in order to get to the root cause of my dysfunction and heal from the ground up.I came to realize how disconnected we have all become from our bodies. My biggest desire is to empower women to truly know what it means to be a woman, understanding their bodies and not feeling ashamed or embarrassed.

Additionally, I am a certified Functional Medicine Health Coach. I believe the mind and body are integrally connected and must be in harmony for optimal health and well being. I focus on behavior change using positive psychology and optimizing your strengths to achieve lasting lifestyle change. Wherever you are in your health and wellness journey, is exactly where you’re meant to be. I will meet you where you’re at and give you the tools to create the life you’ve been dreaming of. It’s time to change the narrative and I’d love to learn everything I can to help be a part of your story! Let’s chat!
